Your private line

A phone number you can hand out and take back.

Numerang gives you a private second number for calls, texts and picture messages, on the phone you already own. Use it for the parts of your life that do not belong on your personal line, and release it when you are done.

Numerang is an internet calling service. It does not support emergency calling and is not a replacement for your primary phone service.

What you get

A second number, not a second phone

Pick a number and use it from the app you already have. Calls, texts and picture messages arrive in Numerang, never on your personal line.

Give it out without giving yourself away

Selling something, listing a rental, signing up for a service, meeting someone new. Hand over a number you can walk away from.

Release it whenever you want

A number you no longer want is one tap to release. Take a new one in about thirty seconds and the old conversations stay archived.

Every message in one thread

SMS and MMS land in the same conversation view as your calls, so the whole history with a contact reads in order.

Rules that run themselves

Forward calls, send an auto-reply after hours, block a number for good. Set it once in Automations and stop thinking about it.

You can see what happened

Analytics and an activity log show delivery, call minutes and every action taken on the account. Nothing is hidden from you.

How it works

  1. 01

    Choose a number

Search by area code and claim a line.

  2. 02

    Use it anywhere

Give it out for work, selling, dating or travel.

  3. 03

    Release it

Done with it? Let it go and take a fresh one.

Your personal number stays yours

The people you talk to see your Numerang number and nothing else. Your own number is never shown to them and is never sold. You can export or delete your account and its data at any time from Settings, or from the link below.
